"We had an amazing weekend getaway at Eric and Eva’s Country Retreat. The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful, nestled peacefully in nature and surrounded by wildlife. The accommodation in the cottage was modern, spotlessly clean, and well insulated, keeping the warmth from the cozy wood fire even though it was freezing outside. We’ve stayed at other mountain cottages, but this one was by far the best. Eric and Eva were fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We enjoyed cocktails, the spa, the sauna, and a delightfully fresh three-course dinner. Picking veggies and collecting eggs in the morning was a unique and memorable experience for us. The barista coffee machine in the kitchen allowed us to enjoy fresh coffee, and all the kitchen utensils made cooking easy. Their four well-behaved dogs, who were extremely gentle, added to the charm of our stay. We can’t wait to return very soon and try the pizza oven in September."

"Wow... what a stunning place to get away and relax. The fire was toasty & warm when we arrived, the setting is stunning & the cottage just has everything you could need. The host package was well worth it, with woodfired pizza, spa, cocktails and sauna. I do not think there is another place like this. We will 100% be back again. "We just had the most relaxing enjoyable 2 night stay, at Eva & Eric’s stunning Country retreat. Fantastic guest house accomodation, with comfy adjustable beds, fans, aircon, heater lamps in the bathroom… & perfect mix of privacy from the main house if you wish, or the option to socialise with the lovely hosts of Country Retreat. We had access to a gorgeous sauna & spa… with our hosts - a little slice of country paradise! From the moment we arrived the serenity, picture perfect views & amazing company of our hosts were the perfect ingredients for a blissful weekend. We even took our little pug Brucey who had the best adventure exploring & playing with Eric & Eva’s two border collies & two pups. The gorgeous guest house is fabulously decked out with all the creature comforts you could need, self contained, modern country chic decor, with beautiful touches to welcome us - a mini toiletry pack with mint chocolates on our bed, perfect amount of kitchen utensils, to prepare your own meals if you wish. A bloody good coffee machine to start the day right & lovely little selection of brekkie & herbal teas if you wish."

"The guest house is beautifully decorated with everything you could need & much to my delight had a great coffee machine with coffee beans supplied too! The decor is gorgeous & air con in the bedroom was great. The bed was so comfortable I could have stayed there all day. Also on the bed when we arrived were some chocolates & a mini toiletry pack with everything you need for your shower, the little touches were lovely. I almost forgot, there is a lovely crystal decanter & 4 glasses on the kitchen bench with Eric’s Grandpas port in for a night cap if you wish. On the patio there is a nice seating area where I had my morning coffee & watched the galahs, cockatoos & ducks feeding. There is also a Weber & very comfortable hammock - I tried this out after a cold glass of bubbly & read my book for a while, next thing I know 2 hours had passed! Eric & Eva are also great hosts. Very friendly & accommodating & the beauty of staying at Country Retreat is you can have your own privacy or the lovely hosts have different packages you can book when you stay & actually dine with them if you want to. We enjoyed a very tasty bbq & drinks on the evening of our arrival, cooked breakfast the following morning with the most delicious home made juice I’ve tasted, made by Eva. We also enjoyed home made pizzas where we all selected our own toppings followed by some tasty wine. The pizza oven they have built is gorgeous & we can’t wait to come back in winter to try it out & sit around the fire pit they have built next to it."
